 What are your earrings made from?

All of my earrings are made of polymer clay unless otherwise stated. On occasion, I use brass and stainless steel charms and jewelry findings as accent pieces. All earring posts and hoops are made of stainless steel and most are gold-plated stainless steel; this information will be indicated in the each item's description. Earrings with posts all include silicone backs. If you have a silicone allergy, please reach out to me prior to your purchase so that I can accommodate your needs. 

 Are all of your pieces handmade?
Yes! Unless otherwise stated, each piece of hello hildy jewelry is made by hand, by me, for you! Please allow for very slight differences between photographs online in the shop and what you receive in hand since every piece is unique.

 Is polymer clay heavy?
No, in fact, it's totally the opposite! On average, a pair of hello hildy earrings weighs in at 1 ounce and, very often, even less! Polymer clay is a lightweight material and customers often exclaim that they easily forget they're wearing them because they're so weightless. 

 How long will it take to receive my order?
If an item is in stock, it will ship within 3 business days. Made to order items may take up 2-3 weeks production time depending on the request, intricacy, and schedule. Please allow for these processing times and take them into account when placing your order.

 What shipping service do you use and what is your shipping policy?
Every hello hildy order is packed lovingly by hand in protective packaging that will ensure your item arrives safely. Multiple items will be packaged together unless otherwise discussed prior to purchase. Please allow 2-3 days processing time in addition to shipping times.

I ship via USPS First Class Mail at a flat rate of $5 (up from $4 due to the increase in holiday shipping costs from USPS). Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with the package tracking information. First class mail usually arrives between 3-7 business days after processing time. If you need an in-stock item sent faster, please choose USPS Priority Mail or USPS Priority Mail Express at checkout. I am happy to work with you to get you your order as quickly as needed. 


Orders will be shipped to the address you provide at checkout, so please do make sure it is accurate and free of typos. I am not responsible for lost packages due to incorrect address, nor am I responsible for replacement shipping costs in such circumstances. If you notice that your order contains incorrect address information, please reach out to me as soon as possible. 

 My package hasn't arrived yet. What gives?
USPS has been experiencing longer than normal delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I want you to get your order as soon as possible, but please do be patient! If you still haven't received your order 12 days after receiving your shipping email with tracking information, please contact me.

If your tracking information states that your package was delivered, but you haven't received it, please contact your local post office for details regarding your shipment. They should be able to provide you with further information and, in my experience, this almost always gets things back on track.

If you continue to experience difficulties locating your package, please do reach out to me and I'll do my best to help you figure things out. It is my shop policy, however, that once an order leaves hello hildy HQ and is handed over to USPS, that I am no longer responsible for that package. Refunds and replacements may not be issued for lost or stolen items or ones that are damaged in transit. 

 I need my order ASAP / I want to purchase shipping protection. Do you offer these options?

Please contact me before you place your order and I will work to accommodate your desired shipping speed at cost.

I recommend that all customers add on shipping protection to their orders to protect against loss, damage, or theft. You can add shipping protection by ensuring that the Route Protection option is turned on in your cart at checkout.  

Once your purchase is handed over to USPS, I am no longer responsible for it. Refunds and replacements may not be issued for lost or stolen items or ones that are damaged in transit. 

 Do you ship internationally?
Yes, but please be aware of both the shipping costs and delays that may occur when shipping from the United States to other countries. Buyers are responsible for any fees generated by your country's customs agency, if applicable. Shipping rates vary and are calculated at checkout. 

 What is your return + exchange policy?
For hygienic reasons, hello hildy does not accept returns or exchanges. 

 My order is a gift. Will you make it pretty and send it to my loved one?
Of course! Please select the "gift wrap" listing in my shop and add it to your cart. I will gift wrap your order beautifully and will include a note to the recipient indicating you as the gift giver. If you'd like me to handwrite a personal note from you, please add this information to the "notes" section of your cart at checkout.
